JOB INFORMATION
We are looking for summer internships in Corporate Research Memory Technology team in San Jose. You will work closely with internal teams and external collaborators to explore new materials, devices, and applications for the advanced semiconductor technologies. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build new skills and insights while working with industrial R&D professionals. You will participate in research group meetings and will have the opportunity to present your work. The ideal candidate should have good research capability and enthusiastic to solve scientific and engineering challenges. TSMC is a leading semiconductor manufacturing company, and we are looking for the right individuals and talent to join our R&D team.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and engineering development in the field of 3D IC and memory devices.
Perform assigned research and engineering tasks independently.
Design the experiments, carry out the tests or simulations, and deliver the reports.
Communicate and collaboration with different departments at TSMC as well as the external collaborators at academia.
Requirements
Master or PhD students with major in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
Hands-on experience on material process, characterization, device fabrication, testing, or simulation.
Experience on thermal material process and testing is preferred.
Experience on non-volatile memory device and application, simulation is preferred.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills. Self-driven and pro-active in new technologies.
Good teamwork sills.
Good written and spoken communication skills.

Pay Transparency Statement
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary betwee n $36/hour and $44/hour. Th e range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
