About The Role PitchBook is looking for a 2023 Summer Product Design Intern to assist Product Design team members in all phases of the user-centered design process to create meaningful and impactful experiences for our customers. This internship will give you hands-on experience in conducting user research, exploring design concepts, creating prototypes and final design solutions and validating your work with end users. At the end of the process, you will have work you can add to your portfolio, an understanding of what it takes to bring enterprise digital products to market and experience with a diverse community of customer-obsessed design, product, data, engineering and customer team members. Our Summer Internship is full-time program (40 hours per week) running from June – August 2023. Primary Job Responsibilities Partner with Product Design and Product Management team members to transform business and customer requirements into effective, efficient and elegant product solutions Conduct user research and data analysis to understand user needs, behaviors and motivators that lead to engagement and creation of customer value Partner with product and design team members to develop design strategies and concepts to enhance and optimize existing features and create new product features to meet customer needs Deliver simple, elegant and innovative designs expressed in sketches, diagrams, prototypes and final design executions Validate the usability and efficacy of your concepts and design solutions with customers and stakeholders Participate in team activities such as sprint ceremonies, brainstorms and design reviews Skills And Qualifications Currently enrolled as a junior in a higher education program (college or university) Actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Masters or PhD in Digital Design, Human Centered Design, Psychology or related field Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from June-August 2023 Knowledge of standard user-centered design practices and methods One year of work or classroom experience evolving design solutions from concept to prototypes Knowledge of standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or Axure Portfolio demonstrating experience designing digital experiences from concept to high-fidelity designs Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Intellectual curiosity, structured thinking and a collaboration-driven interaction Clear, professional and informative communication style Humility, enthusiasm and the ability to build relationships, foster trust and develop shared understanding Interest in the financial industry a plus Benefits + Compensation at PitchBook: Physical, Emotional, Social and Financial Health Comprehensive health benefits Robust training programs on industry and soft skills   Employee resource groups  Company-wide events Monthly transportation stipend (for interns working 40 hours/week) Please be aware the above PitchBook benefit and perk offerings are subject to corresponding plan and policy documents and may change during the course of your employment. Compensation Annual hourly rate: $22/hour Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications& experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
