About The Role
The Product Management team within the Product organization works to strategically align PitchBook’s product initiatives with core customer needs and ruthlessly prioritize development efforts to drive both increased user engagement and increased win rates vs competitors.
PitchBook’s Equity Data team is looking for a 2023 Product Management Summer Intern to contribute to the overall Product department by supporting the creation and delivery of our equity data, financials and office add-ins product roadmap. You will be responsible for pre-launch activities including gathering requirements and creating detailed functional specifications. Our Summer Internship is full-time program (40 hours per week) running from June – August 2023.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Build expertise in the subject matter (M&A, private equity, venture capital, etc.) and understand PitchBook user needs
Gather requirements and create detailed functional specifications to deliver strong business value
Prioritize, track, coordinate and communicate on projects, issues and tasks with internal stakeholders
Work closely with user research, design and engineering to execute and deliver on project goals
Skills And Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a junior in a higher education program (college or university)
Business, Economics, Finance and related majors preferred
Ability to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from June-August 2023
Bias for action and a willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
Self-motivated, persistent and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
Strong understanding of Excel capabilities
Interest in the private equity, venture capital and M&A industries
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily

Compensation
Annual hourly rate: $22/hour
Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications& experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
