AWARD INFORMATION
The goal of the DAAD University Summer Course Grant is to assist students and recent graduates in developing both their general and specialized knowledge of German as well as their understanding of the nation's culture. It offers a one-time scholarship payment of $1061, with a scholarship of $1236 going to those from "Least Developed Countries." Foreign nationals may apply if they have been enrolled full-time in a degree program at an approved university in Canada or the United States for more than a year at the time of application. In addition to the online application form, the following items are required: German-language tabular resume and motivational letter; copy of school diploma (for Bachelor students) or bachelor's degree certificate (for Master students), both with final grades, if available; translation into German or English; Language certifications and evidence of credits from the previous two years, either in German or in English (with German or English translation, if applicable).
