AWARD INFORMATION
Predoctoral fellowships will be given out following a nationwide competition that will be handled by the Ford Foundation on behalf of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. The awards will be given to people who, in the opinion of the review panels, have displayed exceptional academic achievement, are dedicated to a career in college or university teaching and research, exhibit promise for future success as scholars and teachers, and are well-equipped to use diversity as a resource to enhance the education of all students. Without proof that the program of study is research-based, requiring a dissertation, and the candidate intends to pursue a career in teaching and research in academia, the application will not be sponsored. There must be a minimum of three and a maximum of three letters of recommendation. The transcript and recommendation letter due date is January 6, 2022 at 5 PM EST.
