AWARD INFORMATION
The HSGC URI Research and Trainee Internships are open to all full-time undergraduate students who have declared a major at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Hilo, Maui College, one of the University of Hawai'i Community Colleges, and University of Guam.Depending on their topic, HSGC URI Research and Trainee Internship students are expected to put in between 10 and 15 hours per week during the semester.A one-semester stipend of $4000 (for research internships) and $1500 (for trainee internships) is provided as financial assistance. These stipends are renewable for a second semester, bringing the total amount awarded per academic year to $8000 (for research internships) and $3000 (for trainee internships).Trainee internships are eligible for a $250 travel and supply budget every semester, whereas research internships are eligible for a $500 travel and supply budget per semester. Fall semester application deadlines are June 15 and spring semester application deadlines are December 1.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
