AWARD INFORMATION
Two scholarships are given out, one to an undergraduate student and the other to a graduate student enrolling in a course dealing with the subject of healthcare information and technology. The laureate will also get a trip to the HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition in addition to the $5,000 scholarship grant (some restrictions may apply).The candidate must be enrolled full-time in a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree linked to the subject of health information and technology at the time the scholarship is awarded as their primary profession.The specific degree program is not crucial, but it is anticipated that programs in business administration, clinical disciplines, and health administration will be more prevalent than those in industrial engineering, operations research, bioinformatics, health informatics, computer science and information systems. Additionally, the candidate must be a current HIMSS member in good standing who is not now serving on one of the organization's boards. Additionally, s/he cannot be employed by HIMSS at the moment or have a consulting agreement with one of its parts.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
