AWARD INFORMATION
John A. Courson was initiated as a Teke at the Alpha-Epsilon Chapter at Monmouth College in Illinois. He later served as the fraternity's Past Grand Prytanis and as chairman of the TKE Foundation.He is a Life Loyal Teke and was awarded the Order of the Golden Eagle in 1989.Unless otherwise stated, all leadership and scholarship awards given by the TKE Foundation are intended to help current college members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, as of March 15, as outlined by The Black Book Article VI Section 2.The greatest academic distinction given to a Teke is this prestigious academic prize. This honor is presented for academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 or better and for exceptional leadership, as shown by activities and accomplishments within the chapter, on campus and in the community.
